What's better than a catio you can position anywhere you would like on your deck?

Enjoy the shade on hot days, and the warm sun on cold days. Want to sit and enjoy your coffee while watching your cats frolic about? That is exactly what this customer wanted with their custom build.  

This customer had an upper and lower deck, and wanted the entire lower deck to be a catio, but still wanted to be able to enjoy the space with their cats. There was no need of any custom access for the cats since there was already a door and the owners worked from home. The catio still required a roof to prevent water dripping from the upper deck, and the customer wanted minimal platforms but just enough for the cats to enjoy lounging in the sun and hanging out with their people.

This customer wanted the cats to enjoy the same outdoor space that they themselves enjoy. The deck was large enough to have space for both. While the catio itself is somewhat basic the interior ammenities needed to be accessible for the breed of cat. These munchkin cats have shorter legs than ordinary cats and therefore aren't as good at jumping around. We used more ramps for access to the upper platforms, and it turned out perfectly. Now everyone can enjoy hanging out on the deck.

This customer had a large catio at her previous home, and reached out to us to build one at the new home. This catio has a natural ground floor, so construction was a bit more challenging. But we accomplished the goal of a generous outdoor space for all of the cats to enjoy, just in time for snow. 

The ground for this one was a bit too uneven for patio stones so it was decided that a floating deck was best for this beautiful catio. With nearly ten feet of vertical space, there is plenty of room for the two of these cats to stretch out. Definitely one of our favorite builds so far. 

Not all builds need to be large in size, this customer had a smaller budget to work with, so we worked within it. A modest 5' x 4' catio that doesn't compromise on quality or interior customization. 

Another build with more vertical than horizontal space. With only one occupant, the space doesn't need to be huge, but as with all our builds the space is always filled with enough platforms to offer lots of choice. And as always a natural tree is included.

Finally our first window box build. It was very challenging to keep it lightweight yet still have the same charm and quality as any other large build. It turned out great and was fun to work on. We hope to do more of these types in the future.

This large catio was a fun build, and a little different being 4 walls instead of our typical 3. A detached catio isn't always ideal for freedom of movement, but sometimes is the only type that can work. In this case everything worked out perfectly.
